In the city Jesse Mach once swore to protect, shadows are stirring once more.

Los Angeles has changed. The skyline gleams with progress, but beneath the surface, something dangerous is taking root. Syndicates move in silence. Power shifts in the dark. And the name Street Hawk—once whispered with awe—is now buried in myth.

Nearly forty years after the legend vanished, a new rider emerges: Jason Nolan, a street racer with a haunted past and nothing left to lose. Drawn into a secretive program hidden deep beneath the city, he’s thrust into a high-stakes world of experimental technology, tactical warfare, and buried truths that refuse to stay dead.

As the roar of the engine returns to the streets, old enemies reawaken and a new kind of justice rides at midnight.

This is Street Hawk: Resurrection Protocol — a gritty, cinematic continuation of the cult ’80s classic. Character-driven and pulse-pounding, it’s where legacy meets redemption… and where speed still kills.

Out of all the 80’s action TV shows, Street Hawk was always my favorite.

I was eight years old in 1985, and from the moment Street Hawk roared onto ITV in the UK, I was hooked. The sleek black bike, the futuristic helmet, Jesse’s secret identity, and the witty back-and-forth with Norman—none of the other shows had that same spark. For me, it was appointment television.

Back then, I didn’t know about network schedules, ratings, or why a show might suddenly disappear. We didn’t have the internet—just a stack of VHS tapes I’d recorded and rewatched endlessly, always wondering what happened next. What if Street Hawk had continued? What would Jesse be doing now?

That question stuck with me for decades.

In 2022, I started sketching out ideas for a follow-up story—something between a reboot, a remake, and a continuation. When I heard Rex Smith share his thoughts on a potential revival, it helped shape the direction and gave me even more inspiration. But life threw me a curveball in 2023, when a serious medical scare put everything on hold.

By 2024, I was gearing up to co-host a podcast—an 80s TV watchalong with one of my closest friends, with Street Hawk and Airwolf in the spotlight. Sadly, ‘Operation AirHawk’ never made it to air due to scheduling conflicts.

Then in 2025, I finally returned to the notes I’d made years earlier—and Street Hawk: Resurrection Protocol was born.

This novel is the first in a new series that aims to faithfully carry the Street Hawk legacy into the 21st century. It’s a passion project through and through—and because of that (and the little fact that Universal Television still holds the copyright!), I’m offering the eBook completely free. A print-friendly version will also be available via platforms like Lulu.com for those who want a physical copy for their shelf.

If you ever wondered what came next—welcome. You’re in the right place.
